Zack Weiner is an actor who lives in New York’s Upper West Side. When the film industry closes down, Zack and his friend Joe embark on a unique project: making a movie about a candidate for City Council, while running for New York City Council themselves. Zack and his campaign are working with their community on a local level, trying to improve the lives of other Westside residents, but the campaign is struggling for attention. Then, using unconventional tactics, Zack’s team takes their underdog campaign to the heights of New York politics.
